Small Gym

We use this facility for fitness testing and for minor games; such as, volleyball, basketball, badminton, floorball, indoor soccer and any other sport that helps our players develop greater athleticism.  We also have a Large Gym located across the hall.

Weightroom

We use this facility during the late spring months.  Players are given information and workouts that are appropriate for their age and skill level.  Mr. M. Howes (PE and Soccer Academy Teacher) who is a certified CrossFit trainer works with us for a few sessions helping our players gain functional movement and strength.  Click here for more info.

Artificial Turf Field

The turf field is a nice area for off ice training.  The soft surface has less impact than harder surfaces.  We are able to set up complex agility courses, use training parachutes, run laps for conditioning, or use the covered outdoor seating to run stairs.

Langley Twin Rinks and the Veit Goalie Training Centre

Langley Twin Rinks is located near LSS and has two full ice sheets.  Our goalies are also able to use the Veit Goalie Training Centre which is located in Twin Rinks

Veit Goalie Training Centre

Goalies in our program will occasionally work on the training centre’s artificial ice.  The artificial ice is especially useful for increasing strength and speed due to the fact that the friction on the floor is greater than ice.  Goalies are also able to focus on specific save techniques and can get a quite a workout with the puck machine.  Players who are injured and not able to be on the ice can also use the center and work on their shot by shooting on their classmates who are training.

Langley Secondary School

The facilities are LSS are well suited for the hockey program.  We have two full gyms, a weight room, an aerobics studio, track, artificial turf field,  and a covered  lacrosse box with sport floor.

Covered lacrosse box with multi-sports floor.

We use this facility for most of our off ice stickhandling, passing, and shooting practice drills.  The floor also has painted agility ladders which help increase foot speed and co-ordination.  It is also a great facility for ball hockey.  Next to this facility are two tennis courts.
